LEGENDARY ACTOR, LOUIS GOSSETT JNR - LE REVE'S GALA BALL'S HONORARY GUEST
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands; Tuesday, August 19, 2008 - Legendary star of film, screen and stage, Mr. Louis Gossett Jnr, has been announced as the honorary guest at this years Le Reve Gala Ball:  Bollywood Dreams' - this coming September.

Stepping into the world of cinema in the Sidney Poitier vehicle  'A Raisin in the Sun' in 1961, Gossett has starred in numerous film productions since, such as The Deep, Jaws 3-D, Enemy Mine, the Iron Eagle series, Toy Soldiers
and The Punisher. Noted for his role as Gunnery Sergeant Emil Foley in the 1982 film 'An  Officer and a Gentleman', this role showcased his talent, winning him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Having fully recovered from kidney surgery performed just over two years ago, Gossett says: "Every day our kidneys do an amazing job of filtering and cleaning our blood, but most of us don't even know we have two kidneys, or
where they are located in our body. We have to overcome this ignorance and to stimulate the curiosity of the general public by asking the simple question: "Are your kidneys OK?"

As a recipient of every known acting accolade, Gossett also assists organizations such as the NAACP, CARE, and the United States Armed Forces, lending his name to these worthy causes.

The Le Reve Gala Ball's 'Bollywood Dreams', held under the distinguished patronage of the Premier, Hon. Dr. Michael E. Misick, has selected the Kidney Foundation to receive net funds raised. The foundation, which was established a few years ago, helps the growing number of persons that have  to undergo treatment for kidney disease, a disease that is becoming more prevalent amongst a broad range of persons within the Turks and Caicos.

Miss Michelle Swann, President of the Organising Committee, said that it was an esteem honour for Mr. Gossett to accept their invitation. "A busy actor and philanthropist such as Mr. Gossett, his acceptance and attendance bode
well for this cause; as this year's Ball serves to provide for those living with any form of kidney-related disease in our country, and it is through this initiative, we intend on doing our part."

The Second Annual Le Reve Gala Ball 'Bollywood Dreams' - will be held on Saturday, September 27th at the Somerset on Grace Bay Providenciales.
