In an effort to excel in the areas of customer relations, service leadership and operational excellence, this Code of Conduct was developed after widespread consultation with public servants to provide all Ministries and Departments with basic guidelines when administering Government Services. This Code provides a framework for cultivating and nurturing the required behaviour of all public servants working in the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service. The inauguration of this Code was on the 24th July, 2009.The launch of this directive was a significant milestone in the “rebranding initiative” for the Public Service’s Vision 2012 and in their quest for achieving “Excellence in Public Service.” The Code of Ethics and Conduct charts a pathway towards achieving the Vision and Mission of the Public Service. This code not only sets out acceptable standards of how public servants should conduct business, but also to increase stakeholders’ confidence in the public sector by showing external customers that the Government is committed to ensuring the effective provision of services.
