GRAND TURK, Turks and Caicos Islands; Monday, August 31st, 2009 - The Chief Executive of the Public Service, Martin Stanley, and the Public Services Commission are pleased to announce that a major rationalization of Government’s ministries has been undertaken to help provide more efficient and effective public services. As part of this process, new Permanent Secretaries have been assigned to most ministries.

The new ministries and their Permanent Secretaries are as follows:

The new Ministry of Border Control and Labour will bring the front- line services of Customs and Immigration together. The new Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Communications will bring under one roof the responsibility for the three major  economic drivers of the Turks and Caicos economy.
