| MARTIN STANLEY APPOINTED AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF TCIG |
GRAND TURK, Turks and Caicos Islands; Friday, August 14th, 2009 – Today the Governor appointed Mr Martin Stanley as the Chief Executive of the Turks and Caicos Government following the suspension of parts of the territory’s constitution.
Mr Stanley is an experienced UK senior civil servant and regulator. He was in his previous appointments: Chief Executive of the Competition Commission, Chief Executive of the Postal Services Commission, Principal Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, and Director of the Cabinet Office’s Regulatory Impact Unit.
Mr Stanley is also the author of a website focusing on providing information about the British civil service, and the UK Civil Servants' professional skills, duties and responsibilities - www.civilservant.org.uk
