| EMANCIPATION DAY – CELEBRATED ON MONDAY |
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands; Thursday, July 30th 2009 – Though the first of August is generally commemorated as Emancipation Day; however, in keeping with tradition, any prescribed registered public holiday falling over the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) will be observed on the Monday.
In respect there of, this coming Monday, August 3rd, 2009 will be celebrated and observed as Emancipation Day in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The public is hereby advised to make note, as the day is recognized as a national holiday, with all rules applied.
