TCI CULTURE ON DISPLAY IN MARTHA’S VINEYARD
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands; Wednesday, July 15th, 2009 - On July 19th-26th, 2009 TUCA, Turks and Caicos Cultural Group and Eat Mullets and Play Music Rip Saw Band travels to Boston to showcase Turks and Caicos Culture at the Compassionate Care ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Benefit hosted by the Walsh Family in Martha’s Vineyard.

Tom “Dilly” Walsh who resides in Martha’s Vineyard is also a long time resident of the Turks & Caicos Islands.  He contracted ALS a few years ago and since then has been a champion for the cause putting on benefits and fundraisers to assist other ALS patients and their families.  Mr. Walsh also have a passion for TCI Culture and Rip Saw music and has graciously invited four members of the Eat Mullets and Play Music Rip Saw Band and three members of TUCA to make a special guest appearance during the benefit.

Mr. Walsh has also arranged a number of other activities for the group between July 20th -25th, 2009 such as lectures and demonstrations on TCI culture at summer camps, hospitals, Senior Citizen’s Homes and local radio and television appearances.

Mr. David Bowen, Director of Culture, TUCA and the band members are all excited and honoured to participate in this worthy cause and to promote the Culture of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
