| ST KITTS AND NEVIS PRIME MINISTER PLEDGES SOLIDARITY WITH TURKS AND CAICOS |
BASSETERRES, St Kitts and Nevis; Wednesday, May 13th, 2009 – Turks and Caicos Premier, the Honorable Galmo Williams - met with Dr. Denzil Douglas, Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis at Government Headquarters today.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Dr Douglas pledged his country’s solidarity with the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands during the political and constitutional struggles that they are currently experiencing.
Of this, Premier Williams said: “I felt it was important to make time to meet with Prime Minister Douglas during my first official visit to his country where the three-day United Nations Seminar is being held.”
“Our conversation was very cordial, and as it was not my first time meeting with Prime Minister Douglas, as we picked up where we left off from our last meeting in Trinidad and Tobago last month.”
