GRAND TURK, Turks and Caicos Islands; Wednesday, May 27th, 2009 - The Helena J. Robinson High School in Grand Turk, in partnership with The Office of Public Service Management (OPSM) - will be conducting a very important career planning exercise aimed at promoting careers in the Public Service under the theme: ‘Your Career Path: Get it str8.’
The objective of this approach is to create awareness among students of the wide spectrum of careers available within the public sector and various ways that they can make a contribution to public life. The main target will be the students in the 3rd 4th and 5th forms, who are either about to make CXC subject choices, or those who have already made those choices and need to be guided on possible careers within the subject areas.
The career day exercise will involve plenary sessions where broad coverage is given to careers under the various subject headings in the high school. Along with this, there will be booths set up where students will be able to get more detailed information on the careers that the plenary sessions would have outlined.
This event will take place on Friday, June 5th 2009 - commencing at 8:15am on the H.J.Robinson High School grounds.
