GRAND TURK AND SOUTH CAICOS CHILDREN TO HAVE PRE-CHRISTMAS PARTY THANKS TO LE REVE
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands; Tuesday, 11 November, 2008 – The second annual Le Reve Gala Ball was an overwhelming success, thanks in part to the sponsors and, those that ventured out to enjoy an enchanting evening of entertainment and dining.

The ball, Bollywood Dreams: A Passage Through India - saw the event being sold out and raising upwards of US$27,000 for items on auction. Yvette Marcelin, Vice President of the organizing committee, noted that last year's ball raised US$15,000 - which was donated to the PATH foundation. She asked guests to "insult" them with their generosity, and indeed, they whole-heartedly did.

The white tie affair served as a way of giving back to the Turks and Caicos community – in particular the children, affected in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ike and Hanna. Through the ball, the committee's aim was to continue efforts by partnering with the community in accord with its' motto: "Realizing one charitable dream at a time."

Monies raised will go towards providing the children of Grand Turk and South Caicos with a pre-Christmas party, so that they too can celebrate, and feel the love and know that someone cares.  The youngsters are to receive Christmas gifts, enjoy games, have fun with a few cartoon characters, bouncing castles and lots of other fun stuff along with food and drinks, as they learn to appreciate the true spirit of season.

Held under the distinguished patronage of Premier, Hon. Dr. Michael E. Misick, this year's ball took place at the luxurious Somerset Resort on world renowned Grace Bay Providenciales on Saturday, November 8th. The evening proved magical, as guests enjoyed the flavours, aromas and colours of Mumbai, transporting its richness, opulence and splendour to the Turks and Caicos. Premier sponsors were given awards, in appreciation of their patronage.

"I am elated with the turn out of the event, we really could not have asked for more," said Michelle Swann, President of the Le Reve Gala Ball organizing committee. "We are also very excited to report that some US$27,000 was raised which will definitely go a long way for the children's party. We want to say thank you to everyone who so willingly gave and came out to share this dream the Le Reve Ball committee share of 'giving back'.  We truly appreciate it."

To this end, the Le Reve Ball organising committee welcomes others to join in this quest in giving back to those who are in need; and look forward to a continued partnership with existing sponsors and forging new associations in the future; as again, it is our hope, our aim and our mission, to bring succor to those that need it most.
