PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands; Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 – The Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) Women's Football League is set to kick off the new football season with a mini tournament this weekend.
In an effort to further develop the girls Under 20 Development Programme, the Women's League will host the event on Sunday, November 2nd at the Graceway IGA Sporting Grounds on Providenciales.
Over 50 girls have been in training for the Academy Football Teams, and will get the chance to showcase their skills in a succession of three (3) matches. Commencing at 4pm, through to 7pm, will see the girls play against each other in two (2) halves of 20 minutes; then in a match against the Grace Bay FC.
The games and starting times are as follows:
- 4.00pm Girl's Academy FC A vs Girl's Academy FC B
- 5.00pm Girl's Academy FC B vs Grace Bay FC
- 6.00pm Grace Bay FC vs Girl's Academy FC A
