DECR TO CONDUCT TRAINING FOR NOVICE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHERS
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands; Tuesday, October 21, 2008 - The Department of Environment and Coastal Resources (DECR) will conduct Training on Digital Nature Photography Made Simple on October 24, 2008 at 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon, and November 1, 2008, at 1:00 PM-4:00 PM, at the National Environment Centre/DECR Provo Office. The aim of the training is to enhance the digital photo-taking skills of the participants and instill and imbue love of nature and environmental conservation among the participants.

The training is open to all ages, nationalities, social status, subject to some entry requirements, as follows: 
  1. The participant should bring his/her own digital camera.
  2. The participant should know how to operate/manipulate his/her camera.
Mr. David M. Stone, a re-known nature and wildlife photographer for 30 years, who has published photos in National Geographic Film strips, Encyclopedia, field guides, plant and garden magazines to name a few, will be the main trainer.

In view thereof, we invite your Art Teachers and 1-2 students with strong inclination to nature photography to attend the above-mentioned training. The training will be gratis under the auspices of the DECR.

Due to the nature of the training, the number of participants will be limited to 15 participants, hence applicant will be accepted on a first come per serve basis.
