Sponsored by the Pine Cay Project and the Turks and Caicos Islands Government,
the DECR will host its seventh annual Junior Park Warden (JPW) programme from
August 5 to August 16, 2008.

 Local youth, ages 13-19, are invited to participate in this innovative
teaching program designed to encourage environmental awareness by introducing
students to the unique environmental opportunities and challenges present in
the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The JPW programme offers students the exciting opportunity to snorkel, kayak,
SCUBA dive, ride on a semi-submarine and help with mangrove enhancement and
coral reef restoration projects. In addition, students will be trained in
environmental journalism and underwater photography.
